Acceptance of Terms

By requesting a quote, booking moving services, or using our website, you acknowledge that you have read, understood, and agree to be bound by these Terms of Service and our Privacy Policy. If you do not agree to these terms, please do not use our services.

Services Provided

Texas Troops Moving provides professional moving and relocation services in the Austin, Texas and Central Texas area. Our services include but are not limited to:

• Residential moving (local and long-distance)
• Commercial moving
• Packing and unpacking services
• Loading and unloading
• Furniture assembly and disassembly
• Storage solutions (if applicable)

The specific services you receive will be outlined in your service agreement or estimate.

Quotes and Estimates

All quotes and estimates provided are based on the information you supply to us. Estimates are subject to change if:

• The actual inventory differs from what was described
• Additional services are requested
• Access conditions differ from what was described (stairs, elevators, parking, etc.)
• The move requires more time or resources than initially estimated

We strive to provide accurate estimates, but final charges will be based on actual services rendered. Any changes will be communicated to you before proceeding.

Booking and Cancellation

Booking: To secure your moving date, we may require a deposit. The deposit amount and payment terms will be specified in your service agreement.

Cancellation by Customer: If you need to cancel or reschedule your move, please notify us as soon as possible. Cancellation fees may apply as follows:

• Cancellations made 72+ hours before scheduled move: Full refund of deposit
• Cancellations made 48-72 hours before scheduled move: 50% deposit refund
• Cancellations made less than 48 hours before scheduled move: No refund

Cancellation by Texas Troops Moving: We reserve the right to cancel or reschedule services due to weather, equipment failure, or other circumstances beyond our control. In such cases, we will provide full refund of any deposits paid.

Payment Terms

Payment is due upon completion of services unless other arrangements have been made in writing. We accept the following payment methods:

• Cash
• Credit and debit cards
• Electronic payment methods
• Company checks (with prior approval)

Late payments may be subject to additional fees. If payment is not received, we reserve the right to pursue collection through legal means, and you will be responsible for all collection costs and attorney fees.

Customer Responsibilities

As a customer, you are responsible for:

• Providing accurate and complete information about your move
• Ensuring clear access to both origin and destination locations
• Securing parking permits if required
• Properly preparing items for moving (securing loose parts, emptying drawers, etc.)
• Removing or securing valuable items, important documents, and irreplaceable items
• Notifying us of any hazardous materials or items we cannot transport
• Being present or designating a representative during the move
• Inspecting your belongings upon delivery and noting any concerns immediately

Prohibited Items

For safety and legal reasons, we cannot transport the following items:

• Hazardous materials (flammables, explosives, corrosives, toxic substances)
• Perishable food items
• Plants (for long-distance moves)
• Pets
• Illegal items or contraband
• Items of extraordinary value without prior arrangement and additional insurance

You are responsible for transporting these items separately. Texas Troops Moving is not liable for any prohibited items included in your shipment.

Liability and Insurance

Basic Coverage: Our standard liability coverage is included with all moves at no additional charge. This basic coverage provides protection at $0.60 per pound per article.

Full Value Protection: For additional peace of mind, we offer full value protection at an additional cost. Under this option, if an item is lost, damaged, or destroyed, we will either repair it, replace it, or provide a cash settlement for the current market value.

Claims: All damage claims must be reported within 7 days of delivery. Claims should be submitted in writing with photographs of the damage and a detailed description. We will investigate all claims promptly and work to resolve them fairly.

Limitations: We are not liable for:

• Damage caused by improper packing (if you packed the items yourself)
• Pre-existing damage to items
• Normal wear and tear
• Damage to items you designated as high-value without purchasing additional coverage
• Acts of God, natural disasters, or circumstances beyond our control

Delays and Force Majeure

While we make every effort to meet scheduled move dates and times, we are not liable for delays caused by circumstances beyond our control, including but not limited to:

• Severe weather conditions
• Natural disasters
• Traffic accidents or road closures
• Equipment breakdowns
• Labor disputes
• Government regulations or restrictions

In such cases, we will make reasonable efforts to notify you and reschedule your move as soon as possible.

Dispute Resolution

If a dispute arises regarding our services, we encourage you to contact us directly to resolve the matter. Most issues can be resolved through open communication.

If we cannot resolve a dispute informally, you agree that any legal action must be brought in the state courts located in Travis County, Texas, and you consent to the jurisdiction of such courts.

Limitation of Liability

To the maximum extent permitted by law, Texas Troops Moving's total liability for any claims arising from our services shall not exceed the total amount paid by you for the specific move in question. We are not liable for indirect, incidental, special, consequential, or punitive damages.

Intellectual Property

All content on our website, including text, graphics, logos, images, and software, is the property of Texas Troops Moving or its licensors and is protected by copyright and trademark laws. You may not reproduce, distribute, or create derivative works from our content without written permission.

Website Use

When using our website, you agree to:

• Provide accurate and truthful information
• Not use the website for any unlawful purpose
• Not interfere with or disrupt the website's functionality
• Not attempt to gain unauthorized access to our systems
• Not transmit viruses, malware, or other harmful code

We reserve the right to terminate your access to our website if you violate these terms.

Privacy

These Terms of Service, along with our Privacy Policy and any service agreement you sign, constitute the entire agreement between you and Texas Troops Moving regarding our services.
